Formosa Oolong Tea is a semi-fermented tea highly regarded for its unique flavour and aroma. Produced primarily in Taiwan, which was historically referred to as Formosa, hence the name "Formosa Oolong" 

Formosa Oolong tea undergoes a semi-fermentation process, which lies between the non-oxidized green teas and fully oxidized black teas. The tea leaves are plucked and withered under the sun to reduce moisture. Then, they are lightly rolled or twisted to break down the cell structure, allowing partial oxidation. Afterwards, the leaves are pan-fired or baked to halt the oxidation process, preserving the tea's unique qualities.
