Great hearty tea

I first discovered "Russian Caravan Tea" about 20 years after trying it because of its interesting name and I've been drinking it ever since. This smoky version is a real 'pick-me-up' and is great in the morning and great on a cold day. It's a staple in my cupboard.

This is a gorgeous tea for those who enjoy tea with a smoky flavour but don't want their socks knocked off by it. You can definitely smell the smoky and the flavour is there, but the tea is not super strong which I prefer. I have been drinking Russian Caravan tea since I first purchased the Twinings brand loose tea in the early 80s. The tea from this shop is superior to Twinings in every way, and after tasting it in a cafe in Canberra a few years back, I have been buying 1 kg bags from them ever since. Highly recommended!
